RE: Current plans
Barebones CMS 1.1 RC2 now available. Backported some important changes from the latest Admin Pack and upgraded the core support modules. This version is feature-complete but WYMEditor still has the infinite expansion bug in IE and Webkit browsers.

RE: Current plans
Barebones CMS 1.1 RC3 now available. Fixes the installer so it actually works. Fixes the Layout widget so it also works. Fixes cache profile deletion logic. Passes the "first-time users" documentation test.
Edit: Mild bummer. I was hoping that my modifications to the caching system would improve performance significantly. Benchmarks show that it doesn't matter. Content serves from the cache at roughly the same rates as before. Which isn't bad given the modifications I've made to introduce cache profiles. Barebones CMS 1.1 RC4 now available. Fixes Layout widget '#edit' issues. Adds a new function I wanted. And this site now runs on 1.1 RC4.

RE: Current plans
Update: Been working hard on figuring out how to actually use the cache profile system to create a mobile site. As usual, there are bugs I've been squashing. I'm not ready for another RC build yet.

RE: Current plans
Barebones CMS 1.1 RC5 now available. Fixes a bunch of nuisance bugs with ACE, critical issues involving cache profiles not working correctly, added cache profile support to the Content widget, and fixed one widget master widget support so cached pages would correctly display new content output.
This site now has a decent mobile version that can also be viewed from regular web browsers. I'm specifically excluding these forums just because MyBB doesn't really play nice when it gets shrunk down to small widths - there is a MyBB mobile theme somewhere but it is beta and I'm lazy. RE: Current plans
Barebones CMS 1.1 RC6 now available. Applies some changes to the Content widget to make it easier to override settings via the cache profile system and made the Content widget refresh internally cached content when the cache is flushed globally. Also, I fixed the Flash shortcode.
I'm going to call the mobile site pretty much done at this point. Everything looks really nice on Android and looks decent in my browser. The only hidden content elements are the Flash-based screencasts. Now I can get back to the fun part: Documentation! Author of Barebones CMS If you found my reply to be helpful, be sure to donate! RE: Current plans
Barebones CMS 1.1 RC7 now available. Fixed a big bug with security tokens and the Content widget where the Content widget was needlessly writing $bb_langpage out to the hard drive while other portions of the editor were loading. Getting "Invalid Security Token" in the editor was driving me nuts until I figured out what was going on. The security tokens themselves were/are fine, it was the "writing content to the hard drive while another process is trying to parse it" that wasn't so fine. That is, there is/was no security vulnerability - just a nuisance bug.
Documentation is all up to date and I'm calling it done at this point. The mobile website is pretty sweet. I'm going to start on the next related project. Barebones CMS will probably simmer at 1.1 RC7 until I finish the project. Hopefully, by that point, the remaining nuisance bugs in ACE and WYMEditor will be resolved. RE: Current plans
the installer has a 'Class 'DB' Not Found' fatal error during the mysql check. it can be worked around by changing 'DB' on line 230 of install.php to 'MYSQL'.
i put the bug here because i don't have access permission to post to the bug report forum. |

Thanks. Fix will be in the 1.1 release. I don't consider this to be critical enough for another RC. If I find other issues, I'll do another RC.
